It’s Winter Break for me right now, which means I finally have time to read! (and to post on a Wednesday!) This post is on the shorter side, but I just felt like talking about some of the books I have been reading recently. (And, no, I’m not addicted to buying books; the last time I did one of these was almost three months ago!)

It’s hard to believe 2020 is almost over, but I am certainly not complaining. Although it was a little lacking in other departments, 2020 was an amazing reading year for me. I started my blog in March, which reignited my almost-dormant passion for reading, and as the year went on my book addiction was completely rekindled. As of now- December 26th- I have read 125 books. That’s the highest number of books I’ve read in a year since I began keeping track on Goodreads in 2017.
I haven’t really been feeling the holiday atmosphere this year. Possibly because of quarantine, possibly because of how busy I’ve been, possibly because of a combination of factors I haven’t even considered. But the fact remains that it’s over halfway through December, Christmas is in 6 days, and 2020 is, at long last, nearly over.
I’ve been obsessed with YA mystery/thrillers for a while… there’s something about the easy-to-read yet suspenseful writing style, plentiful plot twists, and shock endings. They’re just so readable, and I can’t just enough!
What a crazy few months! I absolutely cannot believe it’s already November. I haven’t been able to blog that much recently, but today I decided it’s finally time I posted a monthly (or in this case, bi-monthly) wrap-up.
Today is a special day. First because it’s Halloween (free excuse to eat as much candy as I want) and second, and more relevantly, because I’m going to do be doing a double tag post.
Confession time: I’m addicted to spending all my money on books and coffee.

How many people actually re-read books?
A few years ago, I wasn’t allowed on any form of social media, and the allure of something forbidden to me yet used by many of my peers caused me to spend almost all of middle school begging my mom to let me on Instagram. She finally relented when I turned 14.
How do you write a review for a nonfiction book? I’m not exactly sure. There’s no criticizable plot There’s no criticizable plot and I can’t exactly critique the characters, so this review is just going to be an amalgamation of everything I found interesting about this book. Which, in this case, was a LOT of things.

It’s THAT time of year again. The time of year that’s both deeply loved and passionately hated by students everywhere.
It’s September! Do you know what that means?
It means that the BEST season has finally arrived, with the months of September, October, November, and December (aka the best months of the year). I am so excited!
Do you ever get that feeling, while reading a book, where you’re completely absorbed in the story and you just can’t put it down? It’s almost like eating delicious food, or being wrapped in a warm blanket. You don’t want it to end, because you’re just in the MOOD for reading.
Another book tag! This time featuring Taylor Swift’s most unexpected, artsy, and unapologetically ~a e s t h e t i c~ album, complete with (grammatically incorrectttt) lowercase titles and a subdued color scheme.
Right now, I think we can all agree that it would be nice to get out of the house.
I have always loved to travel, though I haven’t yet been out of the United States, and quarantine has only increased my wanderlust
I am ashamed of myself.
First because I failed to read this book sooner, and second because I’ve been complaining about quarantine nonstop without truly realizing that my life is NOT that bad.
